Karie brings a diverse range of experience to Brown & Goodkin.
After attending Weber State University, Karie’s worker’s compensation journey began in 1995 at The Hartford where she completed her certification in commercial and worker’s compensation insurance. After several years’ experience as an insurance agent, Karie ventured into various entrepreneurial ventures. She successfully sold two small businesses and ran a non-profit cancer foundation that continues to serve Conejo Valley today.
Karie’s passion for forensics and medicine drove her to become certified as a medical lab assistant (MLA) and a phlebotomist. This led her to volunteer for the Veteran’s Administration, where she saw first-hand the state of the care given to our Veterans. In 2014, Karie joined Brown & Goodkin as a legal assistant. Her technical medical training and the experience with our Veterans have proven to be invaluable to her job at Brown & Goodkin.
Karie is currently enrolled in a paralegal studies program and hopes to one day attend law school. She enjoys spending any free time with her three beautiful children, two amazing grandchildren, and her nine incredible siblings.
